The Golf & Ski Resort Ostravice Storm Policy (unplayable course):
An employee of the resort announces the storm with two trumpets of a siren in a row. Players must immediately interrupt the game and hide in the nearest shelter (houses with drinking water, toilet, and lightning rod at tees 6, 10 and 15) or the club. No later than 1 hour after the announcement of the storm, the employee of the resort will decide whether the interrupted game continues or will be stopped.
If the game is stopped, each player will receive one of the following storm vouchers valid until the end of the golf season:
- The player who interrupted the game during the first five holes of the ordered 18-hole game will receive the voucher for 18 holes.
- The player who interrupted the game on the 6th to 14th hole of the ordered 18-hole game will receive the voucher for 9 holes.
- The player who interrupted the game during the first five holes of the ordered 9-hole game will receive the voucher for 9 holes.
- The player who interrupted the game in other case than stated above will receive a 10% discount voucher for the 18-hole fee.
In the situation of obvious danger due to weather conditions, especially lightning or strong winds (falling branches or trees), the player is obliged to interrupt the game and hide in the nearest shelter for the necessary length of time, even without a previous interruption announcement by the resort employee.
